About Casa Janka Rooftop
Casa Janka Rooftop is a quintessential New York rooftop perfect for any shoot with some of the best views of the Manhattan Bridge and the city. Perfectly situated in the historic Chinatown neighborhood, Casa Janka Rooftop is within walking distance of some iconic NY places to shoot.
Fully equipped with a freight elevator and a fire escape. Check out Casa Janka’s main space for additional areas available for rent can be used for Video Villages, Talent, Hair and Makeup, Wardrobe, etc.
The rooftop is only available for media productions, but Janka’s other studios are available for all types of activity rentals (private and corporate events, showrooms and offsite meetings).

Casa Janka Rooftop is on the top floor, accessed via elevator. Please, enquire with our team for the elevator specs. This space is not ADA-accessible. If you need an ADA-accessible space, please inquire with our team.
Artwork
Our goal is always to help you accomplish your vision and that includes allowing you to move specific items around for the perfect shot or to accommodate your guests the way you want for your meeting, event, or showroom. Please note all art moving must be approved by our team, and many pieces can only be moved by professional art handlers (which we can coordinate). Some pieces may not be moveable. If your shoot requires consideration for the artwork (clearance or removal), we kindly request that you verify with our team in advance.

General
What is included in my quote?
Your custom quote will include the space rental based on your rental activity and number of guests, as well as a standard cleaning fee and a Casa Manager fee. We will send you the quote prior to booking the space.
What's the venue address?
We will provide the location of the space once a space visit has been organized or the booking has been confirmed. Otherwise, we can provide the cross streets for reference.
How do you calculate your pricing?
Our pricing is tiered based on two main factors: your guest count and the type of booking (production, meeting, event, or showroom). As the number of guests go up, the hourly rate will slightly increase. The starting rates may also vary based on the type of booking. All variations in pricing is to dark ensure that all risks and management are covered in proportion to the complexity and size of your booking. We will always disclose all fees associated for you to review prior to confirming a booking with you.
Do I need a certificate of insurance?
Yes – we require a COI for all productions, offsite meetings, and events. For Private Events, our Booking Team can assist you in obtaining a cost-effective COI for your event. We have worked extensively with a couple of online platforms that offer reliable and reasonably-priced Certificates of Insurance. As the person renting a space, you will have a series of legal responsibilities by default such as preventing any personal injury or property damage liabilities. Having a COI can help you protect yourself against potential liabilities as a space renter.
About the Space
Is the space ADA accessible?
Unfortunately, this Casa is not ADA accessible. Please inquire with our team and we can direct you to other venues.
Do you provide catering or additional rentals and services?
Yes, we can coordinate full catering for your booking. Our Concierge team can also help you coordinate additional rentals or activities for your event or offsite, or coffee and snacks for the crew. We work with a hyper-diverse pool of local vendors, for varying budgets. It’s part of our mission.
Can the furniture and art be moved?
Moving furniture, decor, and artwork is permitted only in the presence of the Casa Manager, and previously approved by the Operations Team, as some items may be delicate and at risk of damage. Additionally, some high-profile art pieces in Casa Janka require specialized Art Handlers for safe moving and storage. If you’re planning to move any artwork or to make significant layout changes, please notify our Operations team to ensure proper planning.
Is the neighborhood noisy?
This is a commercial street, so some buzzing can be expected.
Can I schedule a space visit?
Yes – we will be more than happy to show you the space before you confirm your reservation. Make sure to discuss days and times that work for you with your Booking Manager, and they will make sure to arrange a site visit with someone from the team.
Do you have an inventory of the kitchenware?
Yes, we have a full list of the available kitchenware, and appliances, as well as photos of some of them. Please inquire.
Are there blackouts for the skylights?
Yes, there are blackouts for the skylights.

Yes, Casa Janka is equipped with central heating and air conditioning units to ensure your comfort throughout your stay.

What entertainment options are available?
We have an Apple TV installed for streaming services, along with two iMac computers for your use.
How fast is the Wi-Fi at Casa Janka?
Casa Janka offers high-speed Wi-Fi with a download speed of 280 Mbps.
How do I connect to the AV projector?
The AV projector at Casa Janka is connected to Apple TV. Our Casa Managers are available to assist you with setting it up, ensuring you have everything you need for the best viewing experience.
